64 Bit

Last night, I upgraded my OS to a 64bit version, which is Windows XP. And so far i'm pretty happy with the result. I've had this PC for 4 months now. For those interested, I have an AMD 64bit 3700+ processor, 1GB RAM, nVidia 6600GT 128MB Graphics Card. I forget the motherboard model, but its a Gigabyte, and it has the ability to run SLi (dual graphics cards). So this machine should last me a while, i've noticed lately that the PC technology hasn't really been moving that fast, with only some movement in the Graphics Card area and now, the dual core processors are making a foothold into the market in laptops.

I was quite suprised when i finished installing WinXP on my machine, most of my devices had been installed and I really didn't have to install any drivers on, with an exception for the on board sound. So tonight i'm going to give it a real test run with some work in Photoshop, but I doubt it will make THAT much of a difference, since it's still a 32bit program, but you never know.

Hopefully sometime this year I will be getting an Apple MacBook Pro, as I'm a huge fan of Apple, and it will be great to have a laptop so I can take my work anywhere I go. Also with wireless capabilities at home, it will make some work way more pleasant, and there are more possibities to do more at church aswell with a laptop, to start recording the messages for podcasting, once we have our church site up.

Well, this is all i'm going to discuss at the moment, stay tuned dudes!!!

The Shed

Well, Saturday night was spent tearing it up on the concrete at a huge indoor skate park, in Cranbourne, which took us about an hour and a half to get to. I had fun riding around on my BMX and even had a few stacks, nothing too bad so don't worry. So check out these photo's, most of them are of this one guy who came with us, he was really awesome and was pulling off some really good tricks.

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Well after watching this video, it’s making me kick myself for selling my Nintendo DS, but hey I can just get another one, they are pretty cheap. But yeah, watch this video for this new Zelda game and you’ll see why. And when are they going to bring out the Twilight Princess

Alun Davies

Well, last night I had the privilege of seeing Pastor Alun Davies speak at Brimbank Christian Church. Alun is the vice-president of Assemblies of God Australia and the president of the Victorian Assemblies of God group. This was the first time hearing him speak, so I really didn’t know what to expect. I really should get some recording device to record preachers so I don’t have to write notes, because I really don’t like writing down notes at events like this. So I have a vague recollection of what he spoke on, I know it sounds really bad right?

Ok, well from what I remember I will try and tell you what he spoke about. Because this was sort of a night for people of leadership in church’s the main topic of his sermon was Vision, and to fulfill God’s destiny that he has planned for you. And not to look at your vision as a small one, but a bigger one, that you will grow into and grow out of as well, so when you grow out of it you look to God to make it bigger as you go. Alun also spoke about not to have a blurred vision but a clear one so you can see into the distant path before you and see where you are going with God.

So, it was an awesome night, and being the first time seeing Alun, I look forward in seeing him again someday soon. Last night I also caught up with a guy I went to university with that I had no idea was a Christian. We were in the same class when I attended, but I was only there for half a semester before I took on the job that I have now. It was great to see him kicking on for God and involved in his church, which was Brimbank Christian Church.

Today I bought the new Hillsong United CD titled “United We Stand” from iTunes, I am listening to now as I write this, and so far I am impressed, well how can you not be impressed with United, they have the anointing of God on them, and they are producing awesome music for Him, the artwork (well the front cover) I like a lot. I have always been impressed by their package production; the last album production was awesome. The bonus DVD that came with it, the opening for the live worship they have on there is amazing work, soon one day I wish that I will be able to produce work at that standard.
